COMPOS Follow-Along Programme

Taking part if you didn't get a place this year...

Not everyone can secure a place in the main COMPOS programme as we have funding for about 400 students and more than double that number of people submit an attempt at the first assignment.

We have a free-to-everyone programme which runs alongside the main course, this is called the Follow-Along programme because people can follow-along at their own pace.

The Follow-Along Programme is self-study which means you can tackle the assignments in your own time without deadlines. There is no support from a tutor in the Follow-Along course but you can join our webinars.

How it works

Joining the Follow-Along Programme

If you don't get a place in the main programme, or you found out about us too late to join, you can complete a self-sign up form; simply add your name, year group and contact details to the form and you will get a link sent to you. The self-sign up form is linked at the bottom of this page. Please note: the follow-along programme for year 10-12 begins after the deadline for the main programme, 10th October 2024. You will have access to the follow-along classrooms after this date.

Help with your learning

We will release the assignments to your classroom which is set up for your year group at school. It looks like the picture to the right. We will also send you a link to the weekly webinars delivered by our Lead Tutor Vlad Chernov which last 90 minutes and are held on the same day and time each week. They are also uploaded to YouTube for you to go back to and watch in your own time.

Submitting assignments

If you want to submit your work on each assignment to the classroom you can. At the end of the year we log any follow-along student's submissions of work and you can receive a Letter of Completion for the follow-along programme if you have submitted 75% of the assignments.
